Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 4:03 p.m.

Adoption of Agenda

Adoption of  Minutes of Previous Meeting

General Business and Reports

5.1

Resignation of Committee Member - Stephanie Nevins

The Committee thanked Stephanie for her contributions to the Committee during her tenure. 

5.2

Resolution - January 15, 2024 Council Meeting

Mayor Gilvesy provided an overview of the January 15, 2024 Council resolution.

5.3

Update on Health Care Recruitment Coordinator Role

The job posting for the Recruitment Coordinator was available and a variety of applicants were received. Interviews will be held next week. There will be reports coming to future meetings from the Coordinator to inform the Committee of any recruitment progress and initiatives.

The Recruitment Coordinator needs to be made aware that Dr. Matt Johnson is leaving his practice and there will be an opening at the Tillsonburg Medical Clinic for an FHO.

5.4

Discovery Week 2024

The Western University medical students Discovery Week event is happening from May 26th until May 30th. The students will participate in a variety of clinical experiences within internal medicine and the surgical unit. 

The Committee would like to look at potentially sponsoring a student in the future for the Discovery Health Care summer program through Western University for next year.

The Committee would like to have Zach from Oxford County Community Health Centre present at a future meeting regarding the funding they received and what the targets will be.
